Waterway Map
Looks nice but it's probably not really usable for navigation. I checked the Netherlands and Germany. You'd need more details for safely navigating on the water. But it definitely has potential.

We need a train connecting Erie to Pittsburgh again!!
The other thing to take into account is where they would need to build routes to make it happen. Looking at https://www.openrailwaymap.org/, there's some spots that need to be filled in to make a Pittsburgh <-> Erie line. But, I could see Meadville and New Castle being at least two of the stops on the way.

The Amtrak plan I linked shows it following the Norfolk-Southern Harrisburg line. It would come from Reading and Phoenixville, through KOP, then join up with the Trenton line near Rte1 and head towards 30th St. From there it looks like it would follow the remainder of the Keystone route. The night train revolution has been hailed as an alternative to airplanes
France has an excellent high speed rail network it has less need for domestic flights. Other countries in the EU could learn from that.
Germany particularly is a basket case. If you take the "high speed" train from Berlin to Köln, it takes nearly five hours, the train stops lots of times, and with the exception of a few tens of kilometers never hits anywhere near its maximum speed. Combined with all the delays, cancelled trains, strikes, etc. It makes for a bit unpredictable experience. Domestic flights are well under 1 hour, typically. Even with the hassle of getting to and from airports, it's way faster.
https://www.openrailwaymap.org/ has a nice map that you can show the maximum speeds on rail segments. Spain and France are the best. I've taken high speed trains in both and their high speed trains go the maximum speed most of the journey. Germany is notable for just not having a lot of rail suitable for its trains to drive their maximum speed.
Germany could do a lot better. But it will require massive investments.
I think the idea of a night train is more attractive than the reality of it being very slow, expensive, and relatively uncomfortable (at least I never managed to sleep well on one).
IMHO domestic flights in many countries can start transitioning to fully electric hops in the next decade or so. Anything under 700 miles is fair game for that. The battery technology is getting there. So, investing in lots of rail might not be the smartest thing.

Upon trying to save I got a message that a way had too many nodes. Fixed the issue, and tried saving again, then I got this window when trying to save: "The requested redirect uri is malformed or doesn't match client redirect URI.' Any fixes? Would hate to lose all my work...

Tell HN: Firefox Is an awesome browser right now
For me a good example have always been https://kangax.github.io/compat-table/es6/ which rendered very poorly on Firefox. I see it's better now, but still, try to hover over the table (do couple of mouse movement, some circles or something) and see that it's not as responsive as Chrome is.
Another example is iD[0] Editor on https://www.openstreetmap.org/. But there, to be fair, it's also slow on Chrome but I feel it's a bit slower on Firefox.

Bing Streetside Issues
I've had limited success in getting some imagery in Josm, using the rather old Streetside plugin. Some of the problems may be in one of the libraries used to access the Streetside API, but there are also issues with standard Bing aerial imagery in editors too.

Is there a way to map the roads with the width like Google Maps does in some cities? (image as an example from Paris)
The day iD adds a simple way to measure width on aerial, it will get mapped everywhere. I exaggerate, but OSM is a work in progress and better tools means better maps. Hell, RapID can probably eventually offer values automatically. If only JOSM didn't look like accounting software, people would micromap there more too.

I'm OSMF's new iD developer/maintainer (ask me anything?!)
I think, indoor mapping support is indeed something to consider. It is a rather advanced mapping concept, so it might not be on the top of the todo list right now. However, I'm seeing that some work on this was already done (see https://github.com/openstreetmap/iD/issues/4780 / https://github.com/openstreetmap/iD/pull/3097), so it might be actually a relatively quick thing once the outstanding UI questions and issues are resolved.
What are some alternatives?
