I live on a boat, any way to pull GPS data from dishy?
You need to submit a feature request to the OpenCPN developers -- https://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN/issues -- Starlink provides location data in a proprietary undocumented interface. People have figured it though, developed sample code and documented it -- https://github.com/sparky8512/starlink-grpc-tools/blob/main/starlink_grpc.py#L154 It shouldn't be that hard to add Starlink support to OpenCPN but the developers may need Starlink hardware for code development and testing or they may need an active tester capable of running code from github.

I recovered a GPS module from a broken dashcam mount and noticed a GPS app in Roguemaster. Finally put my prototype board to use!
All you need is the Flipper Zero GPS app and a soldering iron, pretty much! The app is pretty well documented, so if you connect the GPS correctly and it’s NMEA based, that’s it.
What are some alternatives?
Vanchor - An open source trolling motor. Features Hold heading, Hold Position, AutoPilot (NMEA APB & GPX). It still needs a lot of work but it's functional.
canboat - CAN Boat provides NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 utilities. It contains a NMEA 2000 PGN decoder and can read and write N2K messages. It is not meant as an end-user tool but as a discovery mechanism for delving into NMEA 2000 networks.
inav - INAV: Navigation-enabled flight control software
