That said, of all of those, composite out is not too much of a stretch and parts can be had for less than $10 if you really shop around. rough info here. Note that this depend on the LCD being upgraded to pull RGB signals from.
  • Any cheaper alternatives to this Video out board?
    1 project | /r/game_gear | 23 Jul 2022
this project takes 15khz RGBs signal and converts it to composite and s-video. LCDs already have RGBs, so if you are in a SCART area and just want RGB, your board will already have the signal, it just needs a socket.
  • About an extra $6 in parts gets your LCD modded game gear a composite video out signal

here's the PCB and design I found and used. It's open source so anyone can make their own. I got boards and parts for 10 boards (minus the RCA/Svid plugs, and using what I assume is clone AD724) for about $40 shipped to me in the states. Figured I'd sell a few extra and keep a few for other game gears or projects.
  • Issues with BOM provided in an open source project

Here's the BOM, it is indeed not too many parts, but I'm kind of new to this type of stuff so I have very limited experience looking for parts. https://github.com/SukkoPera/OpenVideoModulator/releases/tag/v1
