1. Format NEW SD card to Fat32 ("gui format" is a great, free application to do that) 2. Download newest firmware from Miyoo mini website and extract the miyoo283_fw.img file from the firmware folder to stock SD card (https://lemiyoo.cn/upgrade/) 3. Insert stock SD card into Miyoo mini device, plug into power and let update 4. Insert stock SD card into comp and delete miyoo283_fw.img file 5. Copy and paste all folders/files from the root of the stock SD card to the root of the new SD card. 6. Place roms in properly named folders in the Rom folder on new SD card (see chart below) 7. Download newest onion release and place .tmpupdate folder on root of new SD card (https://github.com/jimgraygit/Onion/releases) 8. Insert new SD card into Miyoo mini device, plug it into power and let update, then follow onscreen instructions for setup (leave .tmpupdate on new SD card do not delete) 9. Enjoy.

Some of the Onion themes have missing preview images, some have preview images of the wrong size, and one has icon titles turned off in its config while on its preview image they're turned on.

I've also recently fallen into (reading/watching about) it, and from what I've seen, some of them have really impressive levels of community software support

OnionOS is your best choice. It's as simple as dropping the files onto your SD card. Then, moving your game files to their respective folders. Here is a video guide. Here is the official page with download and any information you would need. If you're still using the stock card, I'd highly recommend getting a better quality one so that you don't lose all your data again.

I followed the instructions from here and used the specialized software. It's a Samsung Pro Evo SD card bought in an official store and the reduction is completely reversible by using the Windows formatter. I don't really mind that much, but am wondering if I didn't noob myself out of twice as much space!
