  • Jellyfin and Tone Mapping
    1 project | /r/qnap | 14 Sep 2023
I know this probably isn't the correct subreddit but the Jellyfin subreddit is closed and the official Jellyfin forums are fairly useless. I recently bought a TS-464 to mainly use as a media server and I'm having problems getting tone mapping working. I've tried using the Jellyfin package for QNAPs from here but from what I've read online, it doesnt come with OpenCL which is whats used to do tone mapping. I've also tried a few different docker containers but wasnt able to get it working . Has anyone had any luck getting tone mapping working in Jellyfin on a QNAP with similar hardware?

Hi all - been trying to solve an issue very similar to this one. I run Jellyfin (installed on my QNAP TS-251+ using the qpkg from here. This video (link taken from the "very similar to this one" post) shows exactly what is going on with my setup too.
  • Is there someway to manually trigger the process to pick a randomly generated thumbnail for the library buttons on the Home Page?

I'm running a qnap version of 10.8.4 that comes from the repository of https://github.com/pdulvp/jellyfin-qnap. Everything works including hardware acceleration. What doesn't work is no matter how many times I scan media library or manually replace all metadata the thumbnails never show up. Is there a way to manually force this process?
