FYI: Joysticks/Game controllers may interfere with LGTV Companion and other idle-timer-based apps
I've started using an app I came upon on Github (https://github.com/ssg/NoJoy) which lets me disable the particular game controller causing the issue for me without resorting to physically unplugging it or having to always go into Device Manager to do so. Not exactly a workaround but It's a lot more convenient for me.
