You can replace it with the "Normal" version through a script like mine, or this one, which will convert it to a Flatpak.

Not quite enough. There's a snap removal script that does the job properly. But then, you've already started accepting that Canonical pushes things you don't like. At what point do you think its worth trying another distro?
