Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

What controller to use for 9 channels?
I came here from NightDriver, which uses FastLED on ESP32 to drive ARGB strips using RMT. As far as I understand using RMT is specific to ESP32 and there's a hardware limitation of 8 channels.
- I made a 32 Band LED Audio Spectrum Analyser. I’ve put a link of the full video tutorial with the GitHub repo below in the 1st comment. Cheers.

How is the white light quality of the addressable sk6812 RGBW?
Also nightdriver is a new framework for esp32 boards that has a whole lot of great features! https://github.com/PlummersSoftwareLLC/NightDriverStrip
- PACMAN demo of NightDriver sending LEDs over WiFi to RGB Sign at 30fps
- PACMAN sent to RGB LED sign I made using LEDs in boustrophedon layout behind smoked glass
- Here's the FastLED package I've been talking about for years now :-). Finally... NIGHTDRIVER!

I call it Mt Tedious, my almost 4ft x 4ft 32x32 led display
That's an awesome display! How do you drive / animate that? Maybe it could be interesting for you to look at this GitHub project where you can mirror your PC screen in real-time over WiFi on your Matrix.

I'm back with another update and finally got my program performant enough for fast animations (full video in the comments)
The installer is located in the releases tab. The newest version can be found here there you will see the .ino file for the Controller as well as the .msi for the windows setup.

For my hyper Cube, looking for computer software solution (this will be done before uploading to Arduino) to convert video files into 2D array with each frame being D1 and each pixel color code in D2 (256 pixels). I can convert the video to whatever format needed. Does anyone have a solution?
Not exactly what you are looking for but I'm working on a program where you can stream a live video feed from your PC to an LED Matrix: ScreenShare WS2812b (soon there will be an update to further improve latency and performance) Maybe that would be something you can try.

I rewrote my code again and now I can (nearly) flawlessly drive a 32*32 LED matrix over wi-fi
The adafruit website is a good start, or you could just use this application and don't bother with the programing (:

WiFi Support for ws2812b LED Matrix Sign using esp8266 and Adafruit Neomatrix library.
If you want to display more elaborate things on your matrix you can use this windows program I'm working on. You can screen share your desktop directly to the matrix over WiFi I'm working on a performance Improved version right now. I use a ESP32 at the moment but a ESP8266 would probably also work.

I can stop buying WS2812b LEDs whenever I want!
Where would be the fun in that? I also want to test how fast I can push the screen sharing I guess the frame rate will drop significant compared to a single 16*16 element.
-
I reworked my program so it can screen share your PC to every WS2812B matrix no matter the size. (Download in comments)
Download the Windows software and the Arduino code here
