What controller to use for 9 channels?
I came here from NightDriver, which uses FastLED on ESP32 to drive ARGB strips using RMT. As far as I understand using RMT is specific to ESP32 and there's a hardware limitation of 8 channels.
- I made a 32 Band LED Audio Spectrum Analyser. I’ve put a link of the full video tutorial with the GitHub repo below in the 1st comment. Cheers.

The problem with 500mw is that you can't drive a lot of leds or very brightly at least. I made a usb pd board with esp32-c3 that can draw 5v 3amp w usb-c and am working on a rev that will do usbpd 20v and dc-dc to 5v 6a. Also the st4500 is impossible to get anymore so replacing that part with a onsemi one. This is an early rev I have a few errors on the schematic, I have to update it. Hoping to put on tindie/crowdsupply. https://github.com/quirkz/fastled_esp32_usb_pd
