Edit your ~/.Xmodmap file to something like this: https://github.com/NicksIdeaEngine/dotfiles/blob/master/.Xmodmap

I am done with vim (ThePrimeagen)
lol I have an over-engineered multi-file neovim config that probably gets close to 500+ lines if I combine everything back into one file and remove all the extra space used to make it more readable. I've been apprehensive about switching to Lua but I know it needs to happen soon.

Super new to i3, trying to get the nerd icon fonts working. I have it working in i3, but not in any apps that use GTK. Is there a way around this that any of you know of?
Here's my gtk-3.0/settings.ini file: https://github.com/NicksIdeaEngine/dotfiles/blob/master/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini

Tips for multi-PC setup
Layer 0 and 1 are for PC/Linux. On Linux, I use this .Xmodmap file ( https://github.com/NicksIdeaEngine/dotfiles/blob/master/.Xmodmap )to set up how that OS interprets CapsLock to give me an extra modifier key. Aside from that, there isn't anything I felt needed specification between PC/Linux.

Using both Alt and Windows key
Here is mine which replaces the Caps Lock key with Hyper along with some other stuff. https://github.com/NicksIdeaEngine/dotfiles/blob/master/.Xmodmap

Struggling to get basic diagnostic working with LSP
How about giving a try with pre-configured setup. That’s how I started. It could be overwhelming to start from the scratch and you could make mistakes that is hard to track. I started with jdhao-nvim-config and learned stuff by looking at the configs. Removed stuff I don’t want and added stuff I need and customized things. Just a suggestion though. Good luck with your nvim journey 🤞

nvim-cmp completing on every letter
same issue here and found out the caveat is cmp-omni. Just remove it. check my commit: https://github.com/jdhao/nvim-config/commit/43c1615822eeeb29d8213ca117760476f9e9f4dc

I read the nvim 0.8 release note so you do not have to.
Also my newest nvim config for nvim 0.8 can be found here: https://github.com/jdhao/nvim-config

which statusline plugin are you using?
easy customization. You can learn to do it in less than 5 mintues. See my conf here.
-
which jump plugin are you using now?
nah, I am probably more experienced in using nvim than you. Check my nvim notes here and my config here. People use nvim differently, I do not judge you, and you do not judge me. Your way of using nvim is definitely not the only true way 👌

This Week In Neovim #5 — Mon Aug 15 2022
The nvim binary build in Ubuntu 20.04 requires GLIBC 2.28, but libc.so on CentOS 7.4 only support up to GLIBC 2.17. I have downloaded the latest nightly nvim release for linux and run it on CentOS 7. It will not run.

TypeScript: Inline errors on type
Since I'm super new to all this, I'm using CoC for pretty much everything here, and my entire config based on https://github.com/jdhao/nvim-config (with some extra coc-config stuff; it got me this far, but no further)
