This Week In Neovim #5 — Mon Aug 15 2022

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/neovim

Our great sponsors
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • neovim

Vim-fork focused on extensibility and usability

  • Any reason appimage doesn't work? I haven't explored this yet on our rhel machines but I would imagine that would work. Also you should be able to just run the tarball version with no issues. The fact that they only have the .deb up shouldn't matter.

  • zinit

🌻 Flexible and fast ZSH plugin manager (by zdharma-continuum)

  • You should try zinit

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • nvim-config

A modern Neovim configuration with full battery for Python, Lua, C++, Markdown, LaTeX, and more...

  • The nvim binary build in Ubuntu 20.04 requires GLIBC 2.28, but libc.so on CentOS 7.4 only support up to GLIBC 2.17. I have downloaded the latest nightly nvim release for linux and run it on CentOS 7. It will not run.

  • nvim-dap-python

An extension for nvim-dap, providing default configurations for python and methods to debug individual test methods or classes.

  • Do you mean nvim-dap-python? I made debugpy.nvim specifically as an alternative, not a substitute, so even though both fulfill the same purpose they do it in different ways.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
