Applying Memory Custom Timings in NHQM
I've struggled to get "Memory Custom Timings" in OCTune in NHQM (v0.6.0.1) to work on 1080s to replicate the Ethlargementpill. Per https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashQuickMiner/wiki/Memory-timings, I tried entering "FAW=16","RRD=4" in the Memory Custom Timings "Set custom" box and then "Apply to All". No matter what I did, nothing seemed to happen, and the 1080s kept mining at ~22mhs.

Overclock via extra commands.
You might want to check this fork out if you are doing profit switching, you can set overclocks on a per algorithm and per miner basis https://github.com/angelbbs/NiceHashMinerLegacy

troubleshooting request
Are you using the standard Nicehash Miner that switches algos? If so, I haven't used it much recently, but different algos need different overclocks and as I recall it can't change overclocks. Quickminer doesn't auto switch, but afaik you can set the overclocks on a per algo basis. What might be a best of both worlds setup would be the fork fix version I used for a while on my lhr cards before 100% lhr unlock last year, check out https://github.com/angelbbs/NiceHashMinerLegacy/releases This one allows you to set overclocks per algo and miner, and will auto switch based on your settings including your electric costs. If you were just running your card stock, that might have been the problem anyway because you really want to power limit or core limit to some degree no matter what you mine.

Question about Algo Switching and OC
Check out the fork fix, it applies overclocks on a per algo/miner basis, and does the algo switching thing. Only software I'm aware of that lets you do this properly on nicehash. https://github.com/angelbbs/NiceHashMinerLegacy As others have mentioned, different algos have different needs. Some need more power, some need higher core clocks, etc.

The Ethereum network will undergo a hard fork next month, which will change the consensus mechanism from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake. You can now check the estimated date of the event in our Crypto Countdowns page.
Just on the subject of tuning, different algorithms need different settings, so no matter what you will need to tune your card(s) again. That said, I remember seeing a sneak peek of a quickminer build which had a few different algorithms in it, so it is likely they will release an updated quickminer around that time. Check out this project in the meantime, it allows different overclocks on a per algo basis, and supports many different miners out of the box. https://github.com/angelbbs/NiceHashMinerLegacy
