The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.

I’m not sure what other commands you’re trying to execute, but respringing does not require root. See an example w posix_spawn here). In the event you do need to get root for a command(s), it’s not as simple as calling setuid(0). See here for more info.
