StoneToss (political cartoonist who enjoys offending) launched his NFTs yesterday. They sold out in 22 minutes, OpenSea banned the collection within the first 6 hours after 100eth+ transactions had occurred. Rarible just banned the collection in the past hour.
For the clarification, Yes, an algorithm (see Deep AI, Sight Engine and Cocoapods NSFW detectors) can block most of the porn/nudity contents, if it is programmed to do so. The point is whether porn is allowed on the NFT protocol or not. As for copyrighted images, the protocol can verify against a database.
