NHSE VS nhsm

There are two main ways the game is modded, the first is by editing the save file of the island which requires backing it up and then using an editing tool like NHSE to edit stuff like items and acres, there's also supposedly ways to do it while the game is running but I've never done them before.

Well for a save editor that you can use in game you can always try using the sys-botbase ram edit function found in NHSE or you can use ACNHPoker both of these allow you to edit the save in game though they do require an external device to run the editor on.

The most efficient way I use is NHSE it's much faster than digging up the flowers manually by hand, though you need to be careful because it will also remove furniture and trees if you're not careful. If you do this be sure to take backups so if you mess up you can still go back to before you made the changes.

NHSM works by storing your islands in a separate NHSM "islands" directory found in your user home, and when you want to use a particular island save it will swap out the local save on your selected emulator with the one in your islands directory. This release also includes integrated NHSE (New Horizons Save Editor) support!

The only thing I personally have done is use the New Horizons Save Editor (NHSE). But I don't play online so I didn't even care if what I did was safe.

I only found one example of this exact error, and the solution posted by the NHSE dev suggests that it was caused by not running the program properly. Specifically, they suggest that the user must have been running the EXE file without having the rest of the program files in the same folder.

I probed for interest a few weeks ago in the Yuzu subreddit about an app. I started making something to solve a problem - Animal Crossing: New Horizons does not support more than one island, and swapping out saves manually is a pain.
