Hi guys .. out of curiosity, I tried to read the nfc of my passport, it changes with each reading. What kind of chip is it?
https://github.com/AndyQ/NFCPassportReader/issues/151 indicates the italian passports use something called PACE-IM, which a second issue (https://github.com/AndyQ/NFCPassportReader/issues/119) saying it is a more sophisticated authentication mechanism. I also found https://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.702.6037&rep=rep1&type=pdf about PACE-IM, but it is a bit much for me to consume at the moment.
