Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Dactyl Manuform with places for screwing single key pcb
I've tried the MXLEDBitPCB personally for a dactyl and it worked great. (I used the "Container" variant). My dactyl case holes were a tiny bit too big, but once i got the hotswap sockets in, it held the keys well enough to stop the wiggle. My only complaint is that the 5x5 PCB layout made it a pain to break them apart, and it left little fiberglass nubs i had to sand down. The labeling was a bit easier to understand than the Amoebas, but it also not as fancy. The big advantage these have, is they support through-hole diodes, as opposed to tiny smd diodes.

Hot swap sockets in hand-wired build?
dometyl can generate keywells with hotswap socket slots, you can hot-glue/crazy-glue them in place or just yolo them in place. I prefer to use 1u pcb's, since soldering wire to them is much easier. The MxLEDBitPCB atlanta support hotswap sockets and you can have many manufactured very cheaply by jlcpcb.com.

Finally done - my version of the Tractyl Manuform!

Choc Amoeba
MxLEDBitPCBs have a Choc variant, too: https://kbd.news/MXLEDBitPCB-1060.html

Per key RGB? - hand wired Dactyl manuform - non-matrix wiring for switches.
Also worth noting that Amoeba Royale has very small LED solder pads compared to mxledbit's "container" ( https://github.com/swanmatch/MxLEDBitPCB/tree/master/container ) board.

When you order the wrong LEDs but are too stubborn
. The trouble? I got the Altana board made which only supports sk6812 mini LEDs (for an underglow I suppose) and do NOT support the sk6812 mini *-e* LEDs which tend to be the first result that come up if you just search sk6812 mini. See this wonderful github thread of another fellow keyboard enthusiast making the same mistake. In fairness the support rubric is pretty clear so I was just being stupid/hasty/whatever.
-
Does the order of connecting per-key and underglow LEDs matter?
I much preferred the idea of SK6812MINI-E LEDs, but couldn't source a PCB that worked with chocs and also the MINI-Es. I decided to try handwiring one, then found the MxLEDBitPCB: the choc version supports MINI-Es, and it looked as if it might make handwiring a little more straightforward for a relative newbie.

Need help with RGB in my Dactyl
Hey all! I'm trying to put together a handwired dactyl build with hotswap and RGBs in each switch using the MxLEDBitPCB Amoeba.

$70 Dactyl Manuform and my mechanical keyboard journey
MxLEDBitPCB altana from jlcpcb $6 with shipping - you may want to choose the container version if you want backlighting but the wiring if more involved so I did not go this route

"Ergodonk" easter edition
They are SU120. There is a bug in the file that prevents JLCPCB from recognizing/producing them. (I've got a PR in to fix that). Elecrow is fine with it though.

Yucu 2000: 38-40 key super staggered keyboard with single key pcb's
The SU120. Hot swap only, but very clever design. Columns and rows are connected by default, so one only needs to connect the ones you break. The creator has made it available in git (link)

Am i reinventing the wheel? Split ergo ortho with standard keys.
I'm using the su120 boards. They are snap-apart-optional single key pcbs that can be joined with screws rather than wires. (I'm sick of soldering Amoebas for dactyls). You can see them in the upper-left. They support hotswap sockets, rotary encoders, and can be a board by themseleves if you don't break them apart and solder on a pro-micro. I'm concerned about not finding an optimal connector length for the angled thumb pieces - but I'm not above a little bit of soldering now and then.

Is there an Amoeba with MX and choc?
Isn’t the su 120 what you are looking for?

Working on something new
You can also use su120 for this. I made a magnetic adjustable layout tester keyboard using those.

Hot-swap "wiring loom" for a Dactyl Manuform?
Someone recently posted a dactyl build using these. https://github.com/e3w2q/su120-keyboard

[UK] [H] Dactyl Manuform 5x6 Case [W] Paypal
A set of Dactyl Manuform 5x6 cases with 5-key thumb clusters and external PCB trays printed in clear PLA. Holes have undercut notches for cherry/compatible and small screw holes (M1.4x5 self-tapping screws) to fit SU120 PCBs per key. Comes with threaded inserts and screws for base plates.

[WIP] Kyfle, the flexible split, with options
I used SU120 bit boards (from /u/e3w2, thanks for open-sourcing it!) as a base, to which I added SK6812 mini-e support (had to remove support for choc sockets though).
