which plugin manager are you using?
Personally I don't use any package manager. I have my own home folder hosted on GitHub, there you can see that I have neovim plugins saved as submodules at a given path, and they are sourced at runtime automatically. https://github.com/MuAlphaOmegaEpsilon/home/tree/master/.local/share/nvim/site/pack/git-plugins/start

which plugin manager are you using?
Does meta plugin manager counts? I wrote my own extensible plugin manager wrap on top of vim-plug that soon will be supporting switching between different plugin managers for easier migration/transition.
