I created a fun cursor for my Mac using Mousescape.
I was looking for a way to use custom cursors for my Mac when I came across a cool app called Mousecape that allows you to do just that. A small but important optional change to pc-cursors....
If you are on Mac, download Mousecape. It allows you to reverse all the built-in cursors (or add third-party sets). It runs under Monterey (my current OS), and likely Ventura; runs on both Intel and Apple Silicon processors; and is free!

Is quicktime discontinued? If so, what shall we use now?
While QuickTime Player is still supported, it's not in a good state imo. I've never found chapters to work, for example, and have had other issues like the app complaining about being "busy" when trying to trim a video. If you're willing to explore, I'd suggest trying out IINA instead. It doesn't support editing, but it's good at playing.
