Forge server ”anti-cheat”
Sadly, Magma for 1.15 and 1.16 is still in development and currently unbuildable, and they won't be available for a long time. The latest version of Magma is for 1.12.2 forge 2854.

Will it work if I host a magma server and try to connect with normal forge? And if so how do I know the correct forge version for the client?

If you want to run Bukkit plugins with Forge, there's a few options. Mhoist, Magma and Arclight all achieve the same goal of running Bukkit plugins with Forge. Mhoist and Magma have both existed longer than Arclight, however Arclight uses mixins, which can improve compatibility.
