You can install some browser or app-based plugins for the Ingress Intel map. These are called IITC and Pogo Tools. This will help you determine whether or not your Ingress portal (if it became an Ingress portal) is eligible to become a Pokemon Go Stop.

With Pogo if there are two waypoints in the same s17 cell only one will show up. For Ingress map as long as the gray areas don't overlap the orange dots then it's good, per 20meter rule. In other related : Do portals increase Pokémon spawns? . I don't think this has been researched since Lightship.

That is IITC with Pokemon Go Plug in You have to mark the portals as gym or stop yourself but it's worth it!
