Is Mpv worth it even if you don't use scripts?
try mpv.net if you are on windows, it's based on mpv but gives you enough options to not feel lost, mpv-easy player is also another excellent option if you want eye candy and extra skins.

Yeah I agree. I've actually switched now to MPV-EASY Player. With that one I don't have the download issue in edge.

Possible to calculate offsets in sendcmd?
I have a project that's tracking VR head movements and logging them to a file to allow the video to be then rendered out in "2D" in ffmpeg https://github.com/dfaker/VR-reversal.

Switching to mpv.net from PotPlayer
I started tinkering with scripts a little, I wanted to try VR-Reversal to play a video but in mpv.net and I followed the instructions to play via .bat file, I modified the .bat script to run within a folder in the install directory where mpvnet.exe is, and the player opened with the --script parameter set, opened a file but the file played normally as if the script had no effect.
What are some alternatives?
