Pico project packaging
I bought one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091F7YSCD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to play around. Found it convenient initially but the lack of an on-board reset button was annoying. Found this on YT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRq9Gs6X2Dk after which I eventually made my own using Kicad (there are plenty of freely available Pico footprints on Github such as this https://github.com/ncarandini/KiCad-RP-Pico or https://github.com/MKme/raspberrypi ) and got it made from a three-letter-name PCB company from you know where. The breakout board in the first link has m2 size mounting holes so you can secure it on a larger mounting board or inside a 3d printed case.

Hey y'all, quick question for a noob: is there a straightforward way to shrink a byte array? (For storing/displaying images)
Yeah the more detailed code on the wiki is not in micropython unfortunately, however they do provide example code on GitHub

Help with Waveshare e-Ink display library and MicroPython
Hello everyone! So I got a Waveshare 2.14" e-Ink display (this one, which connects through SPI), and I've managed to make it work on the Pico with this example code from Waveshare.
What are some alternatives?
KiCad-RP-Pico - A simple repository of files needed to add a 3D footprint of the Raspberry Pi Pico board to KiCad.
micropython-waveshare-epaper - MicroPython drivers for Waveshare e-paper modules
ustreamer - µStreamer - Lightweight and fast MJPEG-HTTP streamer
epd-wm - Wayland compositor/window manager that outputs to IT8951 E-Paper displays (WIP).
blinkt - Python Library for Blinkt; 8 APA102 LEDs for your Raspberry Pi
pico-epaper - Module for driving Waveshare Pico e-Paper 3.7 display. Now with support for partial updates.
RaspberryPi-GPIO-Audio - 2019-2024: Audio DAC interfaced through Raspberry Pi GPIO such as i2s for two Waveshare Wolfson WM8960 Audio DAC modules with i2c control.
neopixel-ws2812-led-pico-fading - Controlling neopixel WS2812 LED strip from a Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller with a smooth fading effect based on sine wave.
ultrajson - Ultra fast JSON decoder and encoder written in C with Python bindings
