The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Can someone help me clear up the massive confusion around the Windows 11 HDR Calibration app. Two tech youtubers say completely different things.
This reverse engineered documentation was the only real resource for a while, but since then Microsoft have published their own documentation here. The new ICC profile stuff is specifically the MHC2 tag.

Does Windows 11 have any benefits over Windows 10 in terms of HDR...BESIDES Auto HDR? I can't find a straight answer on this.
There's not really much benefit to the HDR Calibration tool over just using CRU to set the max brightness. With better calibration tools MHC2 advanced color ICC profile extensions allows full GPU-based calibration using MHC2Gen as an alternative to tools like novideo_srgb but that's a bit pointless on LG with 3dlut support. Could be useful on monitors with wonky calibration and gamma though.

Is there a way to apply 3D LUT system-wide?
The only thing that stops me from migrating to Linux is that I can't find a replacement for this Windows app: https://github.com/lauralex/dwm_lut

You linked the outdated dwm_lut version. Here's a fork: https://github.com/lauralex/dwm_lut

Diablo 4 hdr is it still broken?
i can apparently apply a LUT using DwmLutGUI, but as the file you uploaded is a ICC profile and not a LUT, that isnt really an option. DwmLutGUI also allows SDR and HDR separate LUTs, which might get rid of your double dipping issue.

What are some alternatives?
When comparing MHC2 and dwm_lut you can also consider the following projects:
novideo_srgb - Calibrate monitors to sRGB or other color spaces on NVIDIA GPUs, based on EDID data or ICC profiles
dwm_lut - Apply 3D LUTs to the Windows desktop for system-wide color correction/calibration
AMDColorTweaks - Calibrate monitors to sRGB or other color spaces on AMD GPUs, based on raw data or ICC profiles
mixedillWB - Reference code for the paper Auto White-Balance Correction for Mixed-Illuminant Scenes.
AeroPeek11 - Bring back the Aero Peek feature into Windows 11.
