You can try Locale Emulator. I think I played a title or two which for some reason, even after changing locale it didn't work properly, but using Locale Emulator it did.

do you have locale emulator installed? i used to have issues with kirikiri games as well, running them with locale emulator with admin permissions helped

Which is why I recommend using Locale Emulator found here since it doesn't require switching PC settings, just adds an option to launch programs with different settings.

The source to download thprac is here. You don’t need to download a new one for each game. Simply drag the thprac icon into the game’s folder. Instead of clicking the usual game icon (that one with the Marisa headshot), click the thprac icon. An exception is eosd, where you need to first run eosd, then click the thprac icon and apply it to the already-running eosd.

Once you get a decent understanding of the routing, try practicing those specific patterns until you consistently get through them. Definitely use thprac to load yourself right onto the part you want to practice. Simply open the game as you would, then run thprac.exe and it'll give you a more advanced practice menu compared to the more barebones one the game gives you.

Yeah the continue system's pretty annoying in MoF-UFO. Just use thprac.

Universal Practice Tool by ACK. For EoSD you also need to install Japanese Locale Emulator, Warning! Some antivirus programs will detect the thprac program as a virus or a trojan. While these warnings are false positives, be wary of downloading custom files online.

I also recommend thprac, since it lets you practice from any part in any stage with a ton of options.

Though I have no fix for the keybinding, this mod here called thprac lets you practice any stage from any point you want, and modify your life count and such. It also has a cheat menu in case you want to see how some things play out.
