I do see a gems.json file, and it appears to have data in it. I dl with the link above for https://github.com/JusKillmeQik/LevelingGuide/archive/master.zip I loaded the TR Mine build to test, as that's what I'm thinking of starting with. I know that build hasn't been updated for a couple months, so maybe that's the issue?

LevelQik works like an overlay which may be what you're looking for if you don't have a second monitor

LevelQik is a good alternative to the livesplit option that someone else mentioned. you can configure it to remind you which gems to pick when they are rewarded to you, too. PoE Roadmap can help you fill in the LevelQik gem options based on a given PoB since it can be tough to remember when and where each gem is offered.

I use this Really nice onscreen cheat sheet for acts. You can add in your gems and shit too but I really just use it as a reference for layouts

I have used this https://github.com/JusKillmeQik/PoE-Leveling-Guide. Takes a while to set it up for your build but makes leveling so much better.

I used to use this overlay and this guide, but they seem to be out of date. Are there any updated versions or something similar that is kept up to date?
