Do you have a github account ? What are you working on as a Java side-project ?
I've been working on a simple code based chaos tool. https://github.com/LanguageLatte/public/blob/main/SimpleChaos/README.md

Postman Now Supports gRPC
There certainly are plenty of Postman alternatives out there, one that I've used before is Milkman: https://github.com/warmuuh/milkman
It's built on a plugin architecture, does gRPC, GraphQL, JDBC, Ws, et.al. Other plugins allow sharing of workspaces to various services. Written in Java/JavaFX, brew or chocolatey install.

Ask HN: What are some tools / libraries you built yourself?
I built milkman[1], an alternative to postman because I wanted one tool to integrate with the whole web development stack. One tool that contains my SQL, rest and grpc calls to easily debug issues. Also nearly none of those kind of tools that existed supported SSE which I also use in my day to day work.

What are some alternatives?
znai - Build functional, maintainable, beautiful User Guides with markdown and Znai plugins. Instant pages navigation. Local search. Multiple integrations to work with Python, Java, C++, OpenAPI, etc. Transform "getting started" sections into slideshow for your workshops. Manage multiple documentations with self-deployed znai hub.
castlemock - Castle Mock is a web application that provides the functionality to mock out RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.
hypersistence-utils - The Hypersistence Utils library (previously known as Hibernate Types) gives you Spring and Hibernate utilities that can help you get the most out of your data access layer.
grpc-browser - A web UI for browsing and executing gRPC operations in your .NET application
spring-data-specification-builder - Specification-Builder is a client-oriented dynamic search query library that supports joins among multiple tables in a strongly-type manner for Spring Projects. This library simplifies writing type-safe queries for search screens by using `Spring Data JPA`'s `JpaSpecificationExecutor` and `hibernate-jpamodelgen`. As you might know, for each query screen you have to pass a specific DTO (Data Transfer Objects) and write specific queries using that DTO. This leads to boiler-plate, useless, repetitive code. By using this library you can get rid of that kind of code, and write fluent-style dynamic queries driven by client-side easily.
webtau - WebTau (web test automation) is a testing API, command line tool and a framework to write unit, integration and end-to-end tests. Test across REST-API, WebSocket, GraphQL, Browser, Database, CLI and Business Logic with a consistent set of matchers and concepts. REPL mode speeds-up tests development. Rich reporting cuts down investigation time.
argon2-jvm - Argon2 Binding for the JVM
Kreya - Kreya is a GUI client for REST and gRPC with innovative features for environments, authorizations and more.
maven-properties-gen - Maven Properties Generator for Java
bruno - Opensource IDE For Exploring and Testing Api's (lightweight alternative to postman/insomnia)
JOE - JOE runs a Java program without an operating system by using a meta-circular virtual machine
insomnia - The open-source, cross-platform API client for GraphQL, REST, WebSockets, SSE and gRPC. With Cloud, Local and Git storage.
