KeychainAccess
- How can I share data from one View Model to another?
-
How to store & retrieve from the Keychain without authentication?
I normally don‘t use third party libraries if I can avoid it… but using keychain is such a pain that I always use KeychainAccess (https://github.com/kishikawakatsumi/KeychainAccess).

Basic KeyChain Interaction, wrapper needed or own implementation?
I use KeychainAccess. It's pretty simple and straightforward to use. The good thing about using a third-party wrapper is that it'd take care of some edge cases and quirks that I may not have run into yet but someone else might have.

Is there a best practice for hiding API keys?
However, if you store secrets on the device, you must use Keychain to securely store them. Do not just store them in a text file or something.

How does one decode this JSON data?
I don’t think you are going to be able to use JSONDecoder to do what you are asking. I see the problem is that you need to create a struct that has all the property names (pokemon names) in it in order to use JSONDecoder (that’s a pain). You need to resort to “parsing” the JSON and constructing your own data model to satisfy your requirements. Something like this might help. https://github.com/SwiftyJSON/SwiftyJSON

Best practices for parsing dynamic/unstructured JSON?
Up until now, I've been using SwiftyJSON, although it appears to be unmaintained. Is there an equivalent alternative which functions similarly? Thanks in advance

Need help with json data formatting
I second /u/daisnb that if possible, make sure the data is a consistent format and types, but if you’re unable to do that, I think SwiftyJSON can help, as it loosens the strict type requirement of Swift when handling JSON data
What are some alternatives?
keychain-swift - Helper functions for saving text in Keychain securely for iOS, OS X, tvOS and watchOS.
ObjectMapper - Simple JSON Object mapping written in Swift
SwiftKeychainWrapper - A simple wrapper for the iOS Keychain to allow you to use it in a similar fashion to User Defaults. Written in Swift.
Decodable - [Probably deprecated] Swift 2/3 JSON unmarshalling done (more) right
Valet - Valet lets you securely store data in the iOS, tvOS, or macOS Keychain without knowing a thing about how the Keychain works. It’s easy. We promise.
Gloss - [Deprecated] A shiny JSON parsing library in Swift :sparkles: Loved by many from 2015-2021
Locksmith - A powerful, protocol-oriented library for working with the keychain in Swift.
HandyJSON - A handy swift json-object serialization/deserialization library
SSKeychain
Mantle - Model framework for Cocoa and Cocoa Touch
