Anybody using alternative displays for CGM data?
If the CGM user has an IOS phone, and using XDrip4iO5, you could run this firmware https://github.com/JohanDegraeve/M5_NightscoutMon and set up XDrip4IO5 to relay the info from the CGM to the M5Stack over Bluetooth. That firmware needs to be tweaked a bit to run on the Core2 M5Stack, but will run without changes if you get the cheaper/older M5Stack basic core. https://shop.m5stack.com/collections/m5-controllers/products/esp32-basic-core-iot-development-kit-v2-6

What apps, tools or gadgets does the world open up to once you have a Nightscout link?
The M5Stack NightscoutMon is handy, if a little DIY. I like it a lot but have had to modify the config file to turn off the speaker. We also use the apps for FitBit, Garmin, and Apple watches.

2) Nightscout Monitor. If you setup a nightscout site (nightscout is a diabetes infomation platform), you can put together (and by put together I mean order a piece of hardware, and then run a piece of software on your computer to upgrade it) a little screen called M5_NightscoutMon that will always show your blood sugar in numbers easy enough to see across the room for <$50. Not only does it give you more visibility into your blood sugar, it's an easy way for other people to know how you're doing. It runs off wifi, and I set mine so it will use the wifi at home, work, or the hotspot on my phone. On long road trips I bring it with me in the car!
