GPU acceleration for Falkon (helloSystem)
helloSystem, a FreeBSD OS has released version 0.8. On the GitHub page for ISO download (https://github.com/helloSystem/ISO/releases/tag/r0.8.0), it says that "GPU acceleration is now enabled for WebEngine based browsers such as Falkon, thanks @jsm222".

Is GhostBSD a good Livecd to test FreeBSD hardware compatibility?
helloSystem 0.7.0 https://github.com/helloSystem/ISO/releases/tag/r0.7.0 is based on 13.0-RELEASE, although I don't know whether it's the best barometer for telling whether a driver will work with 13.0-RELEASE without helloSystem,

helloSystem 0.7.0 released, FreeBSD 13 based, Live ISO boots 3x as fast
That's a bug then. Please do open an issue at https://github.com/helloSystem/ISO/issues/ and ideally please run the Hardware Probe utility and mention the URL it gives you in the GitHub issue. This way we can hopefully see why Apple keyboard autodetection fails in your case.

A curiosity question - are there any distros that are heavily GUI focused with very minimal or no CLI requirements?
The only free software OS I've seen trying to entirely avoid CLI, even for troubleshooting, is helloSystem by the AppImage format's creator, and that's a FreeBSD derivative rather than a Linux distribution.

Is there any way to mount an external hard drive encrypted with Apple's APFS file system under Linux/Ubuntu for both READ and WRITE?
I've looked hard and the best I've come across is linux-apfs-rw, but AFAIK that won't let me work with an encrypted APFS volume.

Assuming it's APFS, there's this module that I haven't used but touts read and experimental write support. I'm sure there's others too.

How to a view a macos drive
You have this it's the closest thing to free, the problem is that it's experimental. You have payment options like Pararon APFS for Linux, which is more certain that it works.

macos APFS FS how to create compare linux

Airyx OS
> compatible with macOS filesystems (HFS+ and APFS)
How far along is this? I think she's underestimating how hard it is to implement a modern filesystem that won't eat users' data. I've been working on a Linux APFS driver[0] for several years, and it's not fully functional yet. It's a pity that she is working with FreeBSD, or it could have been of use to her.
