Hackintool VS RDM

AIO display may be using a different display connector (probably LVDS which is mostly uses in laptops). Could have a look at hackintool and check what connectors need patching. Hope it helps.

Easiest way I've found to mounting it is with Hackintool from the Disks tab, you'll want to use that tool either way if you're fiddling around with a Hack.

Yes. Download hackintool and go to section Boot - then you can see it.

Download Hackintool to confirm your ports are working properly. This is also a handy tool to see all of your active kexts, check for updates etc. I often use it to update my kexts.

A quick thought: Something similar (many) already exist. One is https://www.sl-soft.de/en/kext-updater/, another is https://github.com/ic005k/OCAuxiliaryTools, another is https://github.com/headkaze/Hackintool. Does yours offer something different?

First we need to download these three Applications: Hackintool, AWEDIDEditor and HexFiend

1: Make sure your OpenCore is updated to at least 0.8.2, you can check what version of OpenCore you have using Hackintool under the boot section.

Download this tool and try out one of the „⚡️“ resolution options it‘ll give you in the menu bar.

another tool i highly recommend is Retina Display Menu (RDM).

In the mean time however, I can recommend a free application that I found worked wonders for my display. While I tried BetterDisplay, and love everything the developer does, I found when changing resolution the process was a bit clunky. Instead I recommend RDM. It is as easy as installing the application, opening it, clicking the little icon in the menu bar, and selecting a resolution with a little lightning bolt next to it (HiDPi resolution) which should give you a crisp, well scaled, external monitor. Then every time you restart your max it should automatically open the application and apply these settings!

The software they discuss, RDM (https://github.com/avibrazil/RDM), allows you to force a specific resolution, and will likely send you down the right path. To use this, You will probably have to change the resolution before you launch your game, and then change it back afterwards, otherwise you’ll find yourself losing items behind the notch in the menu bar.

Yeah, using non-Apple monitors with a mac is a pain. Try "Retina Display Manager" - https://github.com/avibrazil/RDM - as it allows you to switch to the sharper HiDPI resolutions supported on your monitor.
