GitLab DevOps: Deploy to Server
As with the earlier post on PHP linting within GitLab CI/CD, in a real scenario this would be split into two projects. In my real usage, I have one project with the general CI/CD functionality, then the specific website project can extend from those functions to push out to the server. In this demo scenario, it is all in one project of my GitHub.

GitLab DevOps: PHP Lint
I split this into two pieces, taking advantage of GitLab’s ability to extend other functions, even functions in other projects. My real work scenario is using GitLab, hence using GitLab CI. For the purposes of sharing here, I’ve put them in my personal GitHub. I know that’s an unintuitive combination.

GitLab CLI tool - almost completely useless? Buggy, bizarre UX
I don't know if you know about the history of the cli. For years it was looking like a hobby project from ProfClems https://github.com/profclems/glab and then it was adopted by Gitlab as their official CLI.

Official cli?
it's not official, but I like https://github.com/profclems/glab

Gitlab CLI (GLab) v1.17.0 released
The `glab auth login` flow now includes a step to authenticate git as well when "HTTPS" is selected as the default git protocol. This enables git operations like clone, push, etc to automatically work with GitLab on a spotless system after the user has authenticated to `glab`
Check out the new features available in [v1.17.0](https://github.com/profclems/glab/releases/tag/v1.17.0)
