Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

How to handle Bluetooth and Wifi
I have this project, it's not really exercising the radio alot but it is connected to wifi and does some http periodically while also being connected over BLE sending keystrokes (acting as BLE keyboard) https://github.com/jakkra/Gesture-Detecting-Macro-Keyboard

Made a Macro Keyboard which use Tensorflow Micro to detect which shortcuts to send

Switchbot Hub 2 w/ Matter Arrived! Ask me Anything
I'm currently doing mt home-assistant x Switchbot with an ESP32 and this github project, but this doesn't support the lock and it also quite hacky (it's gone down a couple of times, and then my bathroom lights don't turn on anymore...)

Switchbot + ESP32 + Beebotte?
I've recently bought a Switchbot and would like to use it remotely. Since I don't want to invest in an additional Switchbot hub, I searched online for alternatives and came across this: https://github.com/devWaves/SwitchBot-MQTT-BLE-ESP32

Swtichbot temp/humidity triggers working for other people?
I used to use those every day and they were fickle and hit or miss when they were working. this is why I switched to an ESP32 and home assistant for local control and automation for my switchbot meter & bots.

Smart home company SwitchBot’s new hub will support Matter
I really hope this will allow all local control and it will be a day 1 purchase for me to replace my esp32 bluetooth wifi bridge
- Longshot: anyway to create a bluetooth repeater?
- SwitchBot without Hub does it work?

Can you run the switchbot mini hub as local only?q
You can with something like this https://github.com/devWaves/SwitchBot-MQTT-BLE-ESP32
- Switchbot constantly losing connnection to Homebridge on macOS? ("failed refreshStatus with OpenAPI Connection")

What are the legacy ('traditional') things you wish you could control with more ease or at all?
My dehumidifier. It works well, but the humidistat built into it is incredibly poorly designed and will cycle the unit on and off in short bursts (which will kill it). I went so far as to try to disassemble it so that I could access the control panel to rig up something to control it with remotely, but it was riddled with hidden screws and I couldn't figure out how to get it apart. I ended up slapping a Switchbot on it to press the power button and driving it from Home Assistant to turn it on and off based on proper humidity sensors, but the Switchbot is Bluetooth based and itself kind of a pain to control. I got it working with HA courtesy of an open source bridge software (link) but the Switchbot seems to be fundamentally a bit flaky on receiving commands. It also doesn't track state, so I had to rig up something to track the on/off state but it frequently gets out of sync due to the aforementioned flakiness.

Switchbot alternative
I don't know an alternative but you don't need the hub. There is an open source project which works with an unofficial API. Here you can find it.
What are some alternatives?
esp32-ble2mqtt - A BLE to MQTT bridge running on an ESP32
homebridge-slide-shutter - Homebridge plugin for the Innovation in Motion Slide Curtain
esp-at - AT application for ESP32/ESP32-C2/ESP32-C3/ESP32-C6/ESP8266
homebridge-cmdswitch2 - CMD Plugin for HomeBridge (API 2.0): https://github.com/nfarina/homebridge
NimBLE-Arduino - A fork of the NimBLE library structured for compilation with Arduino, for use with ESP32, nRF5x.
python-matter-server - Python server to interact with Matter
PedalinoMini - Wireless and Bluetooth MIDI Foot Controller
bluetooth-proxies - This repo hosts known, tested devices that can serve as Bluetooth proxies for Home Assistant.
bluetooth - Cross-platform Bluetooth API for Go and TinyGo. Supports Linux, macOS, Windows, and bare metal using Nordic SoftDevice or HCI
homebridge-soma - Homebridge Plugin for Soma Smart Shade and Soma Tilt
arduino-esp32 - Arduino core for the ESP32
