You can follow the instructions in the discord linked from the Github repo. Apparently the R7 version is still in beta, but it works fine for me outside of B1 running pretty terribly on my 1080ti.

Suggestion from a VR fanatic: use more VR mods
I kind of hesitate to recommend this one just because the default controls and movement were so janky when it came out and I don't think the devs ever improved them. However there is a mod someone made that supposedly improves things. Either way, worth a try I think.

Looking to play payday vr.
The mod hasn't been updated in a while, but it still works. The official download was taken down a few weeks ago, and the person responsible for it keeps saying (in the ModWorkshop Discord) that it'll be back up any day now, but who knows. I reuploaded it to GitHub

any way to make Payday 2: VR better than it already is?
VR Improvements Mod (official download has been missing for a while, this is my reupload of it)—Analogue turning, crouch button, one-press interactions, health on your watch instead of stuck to your gun, etc.
