GBARunner2-DSL-Enhanced VS flashcard-archive

The modified kernel from r4isdhc.com.cn comes with gbarunner2, however, this version of gbarunner2 cannot play Pokemon emerald. Instead, use this enhanced version: https://github.com/unresolvedsymbol/GBARunner2-DSL-Enhanced/releases

For Emerald, install the enhanced version of GBARunner2: https://github.com/unresolvedsymbol/GBARunner2-DSL-Enhanced/releases/tag/v20201019-DSL_97447fe

GBARunner2 (DSL enhanced fork) is how you play GBA games from a Slot-1 (DS) flashcard, I think it should be included but since it's not working you can just download it and run it manually then run your games from its menu, someone else might know how to fix it from the Ace3DS+ menu.

If you want to play gba games like Pokemon or anything like that, I'd recommend this version of GBARunner2 https://github.com/unresolvedsymbol/GBARunner2-DSL-Enhanced/releases

There's also GBARunner2 now which I think generally runs better than TempGBA since it's not fully emulation, the version I linked is compatible with Pokémon Emerald.

According to the compatibility list, Pokémon Emerald is not compatible with GBARunner2 when run in DS mode. You will need to either run it in DSi mode (which requires hacking your 3DS) or use this "DSL enhanced version" to play Emerald. I still recommend hacking your 3DS, but it's your choice.

i checked this wiki page for gbarunner2, it says that to run "larger roms like pokemon emerald" you should use this version: https://github.com/unresolvedsymbol/GBARunner2-DSL-Enhanced/releases

You’re SD card might be corrupted. Back up your files and reformat it and see if that helps. While you’re at it, you should really update your kernel to wood 1.62 (https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/flashcard-archive/tree/main/files/R4_original_M3_Simply ) . The kernel you’re using is extremely outdated. Wood will give you better compatibility and a generally better user experience.

Yes, but this cart has a timebomb in the older kernels. The latest working version can be found here: (https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/flashcard-archive/raw/archive/files/YSMenu/r4isdhc.com/r4isdhc.com_2014-2020_DEMON_4.0b.zip), but you wont be able to use the cart if your date is set past the 3rd of September 2024 iirc

You have to find out what model it is. Google for "R4 firmware table" or similar. There's good pages with all firmwares, e.g. https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/flashcard-archive

If you wish to use the stock kernel for the cart, you will be stuck with the timebomb version for now, you can download it from here.
