Fuzzle VS public-apis

The issue with your requirement here is not only do you want to probably account for country code and name, but aliases. I can imagine there's a dataset out there but you'll want to build your own algorithm to do the searching, or actually, I have a really old project that might be sufficient already called Fuzzle.

This is a search box for an API that lists APIs which sources their results from a GitHub Repo found here: https://github.com/toddmotto/public-apis So if anybody wants to cut out the middle-men, there is the link. (Would also be great of you to credit whose data you are using to get your results)

There’s almost no end to the kinds of things you can build using APIs, and there are hundreds of free APIs you can use in your projects check out this list on Github, but that’s a topic for another time. For the remainder of this guide, we’ll focus on building APIs.

I'm also familiar with the list of APIs https://github.com/toddmotto/public-apis but I couldn't find an API that does what I want (although I might have looked in the wrong place, so feel free to correct me). I've obviously also searched for "API iso code" on reddit but nothing came up.
