As for Teamcraft's use of NPCAP, Teamcraft is also open source, as is the Zanarkand capture library it uses, so you can see precisely what it's doing with NPCAP. In the case of Teamcraft, a perusal of it and Zanarkand show that it does only read the FFXIV traffic, nothing else, if that helps reassure you.
