  • Does QEMU support C++?
    1 project | /r/qemu_kvm | 22 Oct 2021
    I guess I'm really not clear about how QEMU works. There's a QEMU SSD project here called FEMU which emulates a block device. If I wanted to basically have FEMU utilize a C++ compression algorithm instead of a C compression algorithm would there be anything I would have to change about QEMU itself, or can I just change it to use G++.

  • A Driver on the GPU
    1 project | news.ycombinator.com | 28 Apr 2022
    Speaking of drivers on the GPU: https://github.com/enfiskutensykkel/ssd-gpu-dma

    > Build userspace NVMe drivers and storage applications with CUDA support

    > libnvm can be linked with CUDA programs, enabling high-performance storage access directly from your CUDA kernels. This is achieved by placing IO queues and data buffers directly in GPU memory, eliminating the need to involve the CPU in the IO path entirely.
