Whats your preferred way to create a typed C# client from an api via swagger or controller routes? The ways i've been trying have been creating sub par clients
Another vote for NSwag. I used to generate AutoRest but they were just too slow to release new versions with support for OpenAPI and more. So, I switched over to NSwag and haven't looked back. As additional input to all of the other NSwag comments here, I would recommend saving the settings like done here: https://github.com/elmahio/Elmah.Io.Client/blob/main/nswag.nswag. And for the generation you can use the studio, but I actually prefer the CLI:

Pretty print/syntax highlight .NET stack traces in a browser ✨
The jQuery dependency is probably mostly there to have somewhere to hook in the source. I think it would be possible since the implementation itself doesn't rely much on jQuery: https://github.com/elmahio/netStack.js/blob/main/netstack.js
What are some alternatives?
