Framework shipping new laptops, Power Savings for Video Output expansion cards
Some crazy person modified their Framework to use the Acer Spin 713 OLED display[0], but I really hope down the road there's an OLED option to purchase directly from their Marketplace. I'm betting the Framework 16 will have it, but there still hasn't been too much revealed about it.
The speakers are also disappointing; you'll definitely want to experiment with different sound equalizers. On Fedora, I'm using this Advanced Auto Gain preset[1] with PipeWire/EasyEffects.

Terrible quality speakers on InfinityBook. Can they be replaced?
Yeah, the speakers really aren't great. I've found an Easyeffects preset that makes the audio more bearable called Advanced Auto Gain here. I haven't done any research if you could replace the speakers, but I'm guessing you can't.

Yoga 7 gen 7 first impressions.
The speakers being worse in linux is a common issue with many laptops. It’s because on windows they use Dolby Atmos or something similar to improve the sound through software. Maybe you can try playing around with Easy Effects along with maybe some of these presets or this convolver
- does Dolby Atmos work within proton, and if so, how would you go about enabling it for your desktop in the first place?

I'm giving the Z16 a go with Linux
Give EasyEffects a try and then install some EasyEffects-Presets. Assuming your distro uses Pipewire this will enhance the listening pleasure coming out of those speakers significantly. There is a Dolby Atmos preset in there that sounds great.

harsh audio
Maybe worth trying out out the Advanced Auto Gain preset from https://github.com/JackHack96/EasyEffects-Presets as a starting point, as they mention it's intended for laptop speakers.

Ubuntu - bad sound quality
There are some presets here for EasyEffects that can help a lot. Anything with autogain is CPU heavy and may cause hiccups on slow hardware.

When will pulse gen 2 come out ?
They will stay unchanged. It is easier right now to get a semi-decent 720p webcam than a good 2MP cam. Also, give Pulseeffects a try, we have already set up an audio profile for the Pulse 15. Using that, the Pulse already has one of the better speakers in our portfolio. The profile is not perfect, since it can lead to slight distortions on certain frequencies, like any equalizer-setting it is not suited for everything, but it will boost the lower frequency and enhance stereo separation. If you experience audible "vibrations" through the case, feel free to untighten the bottom cover screws very slightly in the speaker area. If they are too tight, it will vibrate audibly more.

THX Audio in Stellaris 15 Gen 3 AMD laptop
You can try something with PulseEffects but I couldn't find a very good combination. There is a git repository from Tuxedo: https://github.com/tuxedocomputers/pulseeffects-presets . In addition, you can enable "Convolver" and import one of these IRS (Impulse Response) files: https://github.com/eedeidk/PulseAudio-IRSs/tree/master/IRS . Share your results if you find a good one.

Tuxedo InfinityBook S 15 review
A suggested trick is to install PulseEffects but it does not add any significant improvement with the given settings.

AutoEQ + PulseEffects for better sound quality with headphones (Ubuntu)
Note: This may be useful to combine with https://github.com/tuxedocomputers/pulseeffects-presets/ if you can find a good configuration for your laptop speakers.

InfinityBook 14 Gen. 6: user feedback
u/_Loxley Do you mean speakers with more bass or at a different position? Have you tried PulseEffects? https://github.com/tuxedocomputers/pulseeffects-presets There is no preset yet for the Pro 14 v6. But you should be able to get a more clear and louder sound after some tweaking.
