Suggestions for fast reading images from SD in ESP32-Cam?
You could allocate ~1.5mB of psram (out of the 4mb total in the primary bank) and maintain your own rapid-access cache there, perhaps by using ESP32-PsRamFS? (assuming it doesn't suffer from the same "FS" slowness)
