Plans for Entity Framework Core 6.0 revealed as Microsoft admits it is unlikely to match Dapper for performance
I think you're mixing Entity Framework vs LINQ. LINQ deals with querying only. Nothing to do with updates. Having said that, LINQ is extensible. You can do it with additional extension methods: https://github.com/zzzprojects/EntityFramework-Plus
What are some alternatives?
linq2db.EntityFrameworkCore - Bring power of Linq To DB to Entity Framework Core projects
EFCore.BulkExtensions - Entity Framework EF Core efcore Bulk Batch Extensions with BulkCopy in .Net for Insert Update Delete Read (CRUD), Truncate and SaveChanges operations on SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite
FilterLists - :shield: The independent, comprehensive directory of filter and host lists for advertisements, trackers, malware, and annoyances.
Entity Framework - EF Core is a modern object-database mapper for .NET. It supports LINQ queries, change tracking, updates, and schema migrations.
EntityFramework-Reverse-POCO-Code-First-Generator - EntityFramework Reverse POCO Code First Generator - Beautifully generated code that is fully customisable. This generator creates code as if you reverse engineered a database and lovingly created the code by hand. It is free to academics (you need a .edu or a .ac email address), not free for commercial use. Obtain your licence from
Dapper - Dapper - a simple object mapper for .Net [Moved to: https://github.com/DapperLib/Dapper]
spectre.console - A .NET library that makes it easier to create beautiful console applications.
LINQ to DB - Linq to database provider.
Pomelo.EntityFrameworkCore.MySql - Entity Framework Core provider for MySQL and MariaDB built on top of MySqlConnector
Detached-Mapper - An ORM friendly mapper. Allows saving entire entity graphs. Heavily inspired in GraphDiff and AutoMapper.
