Yes! I use a library (https://github.com/ficsit-felix/satisfactory-json but unfortunately only works for U5 or earlier saves) to convert between the binary save and JSON, then python to spawn objects with colors to create the mange, then the library to convert back to binary save.

No they're some kind of binary format, I use saftisfactory-json to convert back and forth.
