OSMAnd tracks users using a secret supercookie by default because the developer wants metrics. This is done without consent. The defensiveness of the developer with regards to such unethical tracking means that I will never use any software they ever release.

OsmAnd~ from F-Droid not having Android Auto is a known bug: see the discussions at https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/issues/2567 , https://github.com/osmandapp/OsmAnd/issues/13514, https://github.com/osmandapp/OsmAnd/issues/3391 and https://github.com/osmandapp/OsmAnd/issues/15400

So I've been using the OsmAnd+ app for a while, and now have signed up for Pro. What I'm trying to do is figure out how to use the osmand.net/map page to plan trips and then be able to see all of the tracks and routes on my mobile device. Unfortunately, the osmand.net site is not very user friendly (and obviously still a beta), and I've run into questions. Rather than list them all, I was wondering if anyone knows of a written up tutorial (or youtube tutorial) specifically on the web interface. While I (eventually) figured out how to plan a hiking route (it kept adding in car routes because I set "hiking" in the wrong place), I still can't, for example, figure out how to get contour lines on the web maps. I'm sure there are myriad more questions I'll come up with as I plod along, and maybe some tutorials (if they exist) will help me with what I don't even know I need to know.

For OsmAnd, /u/pnoll uses OpenAddresses to make OpenSuperMaps available as a replacement files for a limited set of geographic regions. In fact, those in covered regions can use them to work around a recent OsmAnd map data update problem.
