You might find some use in DelvUI. It's a replacement UI for the default hud with a truly staggering about of customizability - and by default is extremely blocky which should make things easier to see for you and give you more space to work with compared to the more slim default hud.

Yeah. For me it's way more about thinking 1-2-3 combos are not an interesting challenge at all. That's why I don't care about having the plugin or not. I really recommend anyone who's interested about the topic read the manifesto at https://github.com/attickdoor/XIVComboPlugin/blob/master/statement.md.

Do you guys think they will ever consolidate every classes "3 piece combo" into a single key like PVP for PVE?

Should simple combos be shortened to help with hotbar-space issues or would it be a too big of a detriment to player skill?
This already is an option if you use the quick launcher and frankly the game plays much more comfortably with one button combos. I no longer feel like I'm playing a fucking piano every time I raid.

One Button combo like in pvp
It does nothing for weaving skills or anything like that, it just consolidates the buttons used to free up space on your bars. You still have to manually press them for each skill, only now you have less on your bars overall. These are absolutely not macros, which press the buttons for you. Here is the page that explains it with gifs.
- Game starts out slow but its pretty fast paced by level 80. heres an end game opener for ninja to show an example.
