DCSAutoMate: a program to automate cold starts, and anything else in the cockpit
My program would not be possible without DCS BIOS (specifically the Flightpanels fork, which is still actively maintained), so a special thank you to the contributors to that project. Also thanks to the creator of, and contributors to, pyWinAuto, another essential program for many of my startup scripts. I would also like to credit DiCE and DCSTheWay for some inspiration for what is possible, even though I ended up taking a different path.

How does dcs bios work/how do I use it?
I've been working with DCS BIOS quite a bit recently and may be able to answer some of these. First, make sure you're using the Flightpanels fork of DCS BIOS and not the original DCS BIOS. The Flightpanels fork is up to date, while the original has not been updated in a couple years.

Support for Mossie in DCS BIOS?
Check out this fork, myself and others have been working to keep it up to date and it typically has new aircraft added the week they are released. And yes, it has the Mossie :)

DSC-Bios
There's an up to date fork here.

Anyone else working on ExportScripts for the Hind?
I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do (not familiar with "ExportScripts") but we've been plugging away at getting everything added to dcs-bios. Still a ways to go, but you may find some of this useful https://github.com/DCSFlightpanels/dcs-bios/blob/master/Scripts/DCS-BIOS/lib/Mi-24P.lua

What outputs (lights, vibration motors) and related features should a HOTAS have?
Okay I'm definitely putting this in the box of things to have a good look at later (haven't even played DCS yet). Just did a quick search and there's actually a pretty well documented mod for interfacing controllers with it like this DCS-BIOS which should make it actually not too hard to implement.

Can I have help setting this up?
Not that hard actually, using mine for some time now. Get DCSFlightpanels and assing the keyboard bindings that you have in DCS to the swicthes.

Thoughts on This thing for DCS?
See https://github.com/DCSFlightpanels/DCSFlightpanels I don’t have this one just the ones for radio and autopilot. Together with DCSFlightpanels they work really good. I don‘t think you kam use them on their own (at least the two that I have) because they are not detected as Joystick or keyboard etc.

Logitech/Saitek radio panel in DCS - plug & play?
You can go one step further with DCS Flightpanels, which is made to integrate the various Logitech/Saitek panels into DCS (i.e. Radio showing the functions and frequencies selected in the aircraft).

There's a thing for that. https://github.com/DCSFlightpanels/DCSFlightpanels

Has anyone tried a flight panel as a switch box
You'll need some kind of emulator as it isn't recognized as a plug and play joystick in the game. That's my only gripe with it - you have to assign a function in the game to a key and then assign one of the switches on the panel to be that key. I tried a bunch and the best and most simple one by far is https://github.com/DCSFlightpanels/DCSFlightpanels.

Logitech m Saitek panel useless without spad / specific games?
You can download DCSFlightPanels for free, and it allows you to map the switches to keystrokes.
-
Do the Logitech flight switch panel or Guage work with DCS?
The switches work through DCS Flightpanel Which works like a DCS version of Spad.neXt

Finally finished my redneck cockpit setup
It’s not too difficult - just used the software DCS Flightpanels https://github.com/DCSFlightpanels/DCSFlightpanels to set the switches to keybinds and then set them in DCS.
