Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Report: YouTube adding individualized ID tag to links shared off-platform
ClearURLs implemented the rule to remove the si attribute on November 5th[1].
I think a better approach though is to whitelist allowed attributes rather than blacklist disallowed attributes. For example, if you get a URL starting "https://www.youtube.com/watch?" then the only allowed attributes are v, t, etc and everything else would be stripped.

ClearURLs – automatically remove tracking elements from URLs
I like this idea. I've been using a bit of Ruby wrapped into my shell to remove Facebook's tracking from links[1] but it's nice to have so many in one place that we all can contribute to.
It seems the interesting bit (for me) is in the Rules[2] repo.

Google Removed ClearURLs Extension from Chrome Web Store
Check out Neat URL - it's more basic, uses a comma-separated list of rules, and comes with some hard-coded presets you can override. I maintain my list in a text file and just update that and copy/paste in when I want to create one.
Of the defaults, I only override "cid, mbid" as blocking those on every site has ended up breaking some.
