The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Wrapped Handshake TLDs
The most mature bridge that I'm aware of is the ChainSafe bridge. See https://github.com/ChainSafe/ChainBridge. I'd imagine it is possible to "wrap" the Handshake name on another network, but is it really all that useful? Its possible there is utility from more users on Ethereum, so you'd be more likely to find a buyer for your name. If it does turn out to be actually useful, doing it in a trustless way is probably too expensive for it to be worth it.

Daily General Discussion - January 14, 2021
The first parachain (Plasm) launched on test net (Rococo). This is likely anticipation of parachain auctions on Kusama and then Polkadot. You can't wrap DOT yet but there will be interoperability between Polkadot and Ethereum via various bridges for example https://github.com/ChainSafe/ChainBridge

xCall Focus Testing Recap - Reposted from https://icon.community/
xCall is not a bridge aggregator (i.e., LiFi, Socket) nor is it an interoperability protocol (i.e., BTP, IBC, Wormhole. xCall aggregates the features of all interoperability protocols through a single interface that standardizes cross chain messaging across the different protocols. Through such standardization, xCall is able to simplify cross chain dApp development for developers and to enable developers to leverage the unique strengths of the underlying interoperability protocols.

Uniswap Cross-Chain Governance: Wormhole's Suggestion
Security and Decentralization: Wormhole has nineteen guardians comprised of the leading PoS validators who jointly attest to messages. They all hold equal weight in consensus and governance. Of the 19 guardians, Wormhole requires over two-thirds to reach consensus and pass verification - thus, we assume that at least one-third of our guardian set is honest. Wormhole also has a comprehensive security plan consisting of all development in the open, one of the largest bug bounty programs ($10 million and counting), several quality audits 4 of its full codebase (one by Trail of Bits underway).

Wormhole Incident Report + Timeline
19:55 UTC — The bug was conclusively verified by internal peer review and multiple third-party auditing companies. The fix was committed to a temporary private fork of the Wormhole repository (it is now published to the public repository). The team circulated a contract upgrade governance proposal for Guardians to vote on. To expedite the process, simulations and testing of the fix were conducted in parallel. Since the network was down, the votes could not be immediately submitted. Therefore, a workaround was tested that would allow Guardians to submit governance votes without enabling token transfers.
