Are there any QuickTime alternatives for MacOS that render video correctly? Attached is QuickTime default (left) and VLC default (right), note the color differences.
You can also try IINA+. AFAIK it has a better hdr support and a few other things. https://github.com/iina-plus/iina

[Help] : Unable to install IINA-plus
Hey, I am really a noob and I don't know how to install IINA-plus from this GitHub repository

Optimus Player updated with native support for Apple silicon, Picture in Picture, Spatial Audio, automatic subtitle file discovery
Also, It also used to be that IINA couldn’t play HDR videos, but that’s recently changed, albeit not accurately. Optimus Player should be 1:1 with QuickTime.
- HDR for YouTube videos, IINA v Safari v Movist Pro. Seems like IINA over exposes the whites. Movist Pro does the best job keeping it real. Infuse 7 Pro has no option to play from URL.

IINA has HDR suppot!
I only used it for HDR support, so I may go back to the original now. IINA+ usually has bug fixes faster than the original source, so if there is an issue you're having, you could check to see if it's fixed in IINA+. https://github.com/iina-plus/iina

Elmedia Player Questions
I think Iina Plus should have HDR support. It’s a fork of original Iina, as its development has pretty much stalled. Plus is pretty active.
- What’s the best video player to play MKV HDR video on Mac?

IINA
Iina Plus is basically updated and improved version of Iina. Haven’t tested if it’s affected too.

Been drooling over a Macbook all my childhood, finally got one at 24. The display is unbelievable. Base 14 M1 Pro
Sure thing! There used to be a download at the bottom of the page but they have removed it for some reason. It's hidden here at the bottom of the page. Download the arm64 version if you have an M1 Mac and the x86_64 if you have an Intel Mac.
- Does the iina-plus fork no longer have a working DMG download?

Always paste without formatting on macOS
I have been using [Jumpcut](https://github.com/snark/jumpcut) for this purpose. I have it bound to ctrl cmd v, so it doesn't conflict with the normal cmd v

Finally found the best media player
It’s the only clipboard manager I’ve ever used, but I like Jumpcut. It’s free: https://snark.github.io/jumpcut/

Double click to copy, middle click to paste
I personally use Raycast (an app/URL/everything launcher) that has a clipboard manager included. It’s free app, and really great if you want to control your Mac via keyboard. But if you’re not into that sort of thing, there’s various clipboard managers available: Pastebot, Maccy, Copy 'Em, Jumpcut.
