Help setting up minecraft server
Now, if the vanilla server gets too laggy, you will need to switch it out with either a spigot or paper server. I recommend running PaperMC, since that is a fork of spigot (which includes all of the features that spigot has), and it's also open source and gets updated quite often. PaperMC fixes bugs and exploits, and increases server performance so there is no lag at all. Now, to get a spigot server, there are 2 ways: build it via gitbash or get it from https://getbukkit.org/download/spigot. Both methods work. So, to build it, you will need to get the buildtools gui from here. Now, take a download of it, and run it. If windows prompts you saying that it is not safe, just allow it to run by clicking more info, and clicking run anyway. Now, that will pop open a gui, and hit update buildtools. That will make a buildtools folder, which is needed for later. Now hit run buildtools. That will start making the git needed, and when prompted, save it to where u need it. Then it will start downloading the git, and once it's done, just exit it. Now, go to that buildtools folder it made (most likely in the downloads folder) and make sure to go to the git bash and open that up. Now, we want to change it to a diff directory by doing the cd cmd. For example, if the buildtools folder is in my d drive, it would be /d/buildtools . You need to do it step by step. So type in cd /[insert drive letter here]. hit enter, and type in cd /[insert drive letter here]/[insert buildtools folder name here] . then click enter. Now, copy and paste in this cmd:

Modpack Server hosting with plugins
If you want to run Bukkit plugins with Forge, there's a few options. Mhoist, Magma and Arclight all achieve the same goal of running Bukkit plugins with Forge. Mhoist and Magma have both existed longer than Arclight, however Arclight uses mixins, which can improve compatibility.

Loader for Mods & Plugins
https://mohistmc.com/ This one can load both forge mods and spigot plugins at the same time. But keep in mind once there is forge mods in your server, your server's direction will and should be focus on the mods instead of the plugins. So far EssentialsX-type of "tool chain" "server management" plugins can install just fine. Plugins that mess around the the base game mechanics like item adders and slimefun are likely to give unexpected behaviors.

How can I use CoreProtect with Forge.
I know that CoreProtect is a Spigot plugin, and that forge is a different beast entirely. But I've looked into Mohist (https://github.com/MohistMC/Mohist) and it looks like it has what I need, though not really any support for 1.19 quite yet.

Need help switching to Mods from Plugins. What are the best alternatives for my server?
Instead of fully switching to MOD server, you could try using Magma, Sponge, or Mohist, if you have any further questions, feel free to reply to this message or DM me.

net.minecraft.world.WorldServer@(random key)
The reason the EssentialsX devs found out about this dangeous behaviour was them or someone else manually going through the code, something few actually do. A lot of people simply take ”open source” as a synonym for safe, while some take the effort to go through the code and identify sus things like this commit.
